Taking GCash downpayments for resort bookings in Messenger, the safe way
Guests are ready to pay at midnight. Here’s a simple flow to quote, collect the downpayment, check the receipt and confirm, without losing dates to double bookings.
Quote the full total first
Guests ask “hm po?” and then compare totals, not rates. Work out the full amount in the first reply: weekday or weekend rate, extra guests, peak season, and minimum stay.
Then say what reserves it, for example a 50% downpayment, and what happens to the balance.
Send your QR with the exact amount
Send your business’s own GCash QR and the exact downpayment to pay. The money goes straight to your account. Stating the exact amount makes the receipt easy to check.
Hold the dates while you check
The moment a guest sends a receipt, hold their dates so nobody else books them. Tell the guest: “Got it, we’re confirming now.” They relax, and you avoid a double booking.
Check every receipt the same way
- The amount matches the downpayment
- The recipient name and number are yours
- The date and time are recent
- The reference number hasn’t been used before
- Nothing looks edited: fonts, spacing, or blurry numbers
Then look at your GCash app to see the money arrived, and approve the booking. A screenshot alone is never proof of payment.
Confirm with your policies
Send a confirmation with the dates, headcount, amount paid, balance due, and your cancellation and rebooking rules. Put it on your calendar the same minute.
Offer the add-on before payment
The best time to offer breakfast, early check-in or an extra night is right after the quote, before the guest pays. One line is enough.
Where AkoNaPo fits
AkoNaPo quotes from your rate table, sends your GCash QR, holds the dates and lines up the receipt checks for your staff. They look at GCash, tap Approve, and the guest gets the confirmation.
