How to set up AI auto-replies on your Facebook Page

Step 1: Turn on Meta’s free auto-replies

Meta Business Suite has basic automations built in. To find them:

1. Open Meta Business Suite and pick your Page.
2. Go to Inbox, then Automations.
3. Turn on Instant reply, so every new chat gets a greeting.
4. Turn on Away message, for after-hours chats.
5. Add Frequently asked questions, with a short answer for each.
6. Add keyword replies for words like “price”, “magkano” or “location”.

Menu names change from time to time, so look for “Automations” if you can’t find a step.

What free auto-replies can’t do

Meta’s automations send the same fixed text every time. They don’t understand Taglish, typos or follow-up questions. They can’t work out a total, check if a date is free, or book a slot.

So the customer still waits for a person, and many message the next business instead.

Step 2: Connect an AI tool

An AI tool reads each message and writes a real reply. A good one should:

• Understand English, Tagalog and Taglish
• Use only your prices and rules, never made-up numbers
• Book appointments, site visits or rooms into your calendar
• Send your GCash QR and hold the slot for the downpayment
• Pause when your staff reply, and alert you when a person is needed

Step 3: Test it like a customer

Before you go live, message your own Page from a personal account. Ask in Taglish, ask for a price, ask for a date that is full. Fix any reply that sounds wrong or gives the wrong number.
